As you can see in the pictures, the butterflies are orangey pink in colour on the upper side of their wings with white spots and black/ brown marking.
If you look closely at a real butterfly you may see other colours too, like blue, red or grey.
All butterflies have 6 legs. They are insects. Each of their legs is divided into 5 parts. Butterflies use their feet for gripping and tasting! Yes that's right -butterflies have their sensory organs in one of their pairs of feet. When you see them stamping on a flower or nectar feeder they are tasting to see where the sweet liquid is before drinking.
